Extractions are required if a filling or crown can’t control the spread of cavities or infection, or as part of an orthodontic plan to address crowded teeth. Dr. Nieves and Dr. Paranthaman are skilled at extracting teeth and their patient’s comfort is of utmost priority. In most cases, it is imperative to place a bone graft to preserve bone level and thickness for subsequent dentures, partials, or implants.

Who is a good candidate for dental implants?:
Anyone missing a tooth and has the adequate amount of bone to support the implant, is an excellent candidate for implants. After an extraction, it is important to place a bone graft to ensure the implant has enough bone for placement. Implants may be placed immediately after extraction under the right conditions. Dental Implants are not recommended for patients who are smokers and have uncontrolled diabetes.
Dentures
We offer both partial and complete dentures for our patients that are missing teeth. Dentures can be used to replace missing teeth and can help restore a patient’s function and esthetic. Our doctors can create implant-supported dentures if patients are a candidate for such.
