Meet Dr. Bhavya Paranthaman

Dr. Bhavya Paranthaman, who goes by Dr. P in the office, brings warmth and clinical excellence to every patient interaction. Together with her husband, Dr. Alejandro Nieves, she purchased Marina Pointe Dental with a vision to create a practice where patients feel like family. Her approach to dentistry combines technical skill with genuine compassion, creating a calm and relaxing environment where even the most anxious patients feel at ease.

Dr. Paranthaman is passionate about continuing education and bringing the latest dental technology to Panama City. She has a particular focus on family dental services — caring for patients at every stage of life, from young children to seniors — and takes a thoughtful approach to general dental care that emphasizes prevention and long-term health over reactive treatment. She believes in providing optimal treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances, listening first, explaining thoroughly, and working together with patients to achieve their oral health goals. You’ll see the same smiling faces each time you visit, and Dr. Paranthaman ensures every patient is greeted with warmth and treated with respect.

Outside the office, Dr. Paranthaman and Dr. Nieves have embraced life in the Florida Panhandle and are committed to serving the Panama City community for years to come. We’re proud to share that Dr. Paranthaman is a participating provider in the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP), administered through QTC: a program designed to keep our Reserve and National Guard service members healthy and ready to serve.

Through this partnership with the government, our office helps provide essential dental care to eligible military personnel. This includes comprehensive exams, digital X-rays, fillings, extractions, root canals, and other treatment needed to ensure each service member meets dental readiness requirements. Simply put, we help take care of dental issues before they become bigger problems so our Reserve members can stay focused, prepared, and ready if they are called to duty.
